Research Funding from Forte

Anna Grimby-Ekman (PhD) at Health Metrics at Gothenburg University, is one of the main participants in the Network for methodological issues in registry-based research. The network is chaired by Jonas Björk, professor in epidemiologi at Lunds University, and additional main participants are Anders Ahlbom at Karolinska Institute, Ilona Koupil at Stockholm University and Kirk Scott at Lund University. The network started in 2015 with grants from Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life, and Welfare (Forte). The aim of the network is to promote exchange of knowledge and experience within registry-based research across different universities, different scientific disciplines and between junior and senior researchers. The network activities planned for 2016-2018 will fall into three groups:

  1. conferences for PhD-students,
  2. meetings on methodological issues,
  3. coordination of courses and teaching activities.
